When I tell people why I chose to pick up a camera, I usually tell them how I chose an elective in High School and that was what sent me down this path. The part I usually keep to myself, was that I was inspired by my all time favorite hero, who when he was not saving lives, he would take photos and be the class nerd. The hero Spider-Man, but really the nerd behind the mask: Peter Parker, helped me embrace who I was. I remember taking up photography and thinking, I may never climb up walls, nor will I ever swing through the streets of NYC, but when I have this camera in my hands… I feel closer to the character than I ever thought I would. Simply put, the art of Cosplay allows us fans to become closer to those worlds we admire and I share their art here for anyone who chooses to be not just a representation of their heroes, but to be themselves.
